I have this arm in my office at work and at home. Easy to adjust, easy to maintain, easy to manipulate for better, more ergonomic viewing in both sitting and standing positions.
Doesn’t clamp on all desksI really like the item, it looks to be good quality and just when I need. The problem is the clamp does not fit on all desks. I have a new desk from Staples and the overhang that I have is not sufficient to put the clamp in place to put the monitor arm on. I will have to return both the monitor arm, and the new monitor I bought for the monitor arm, because I can’t use that on this desk. Seems like there should be a way to mount it on the desk without needing so much room underneath
The Ergotron Monitor Arm is a good product, very welcomed with the furnishing of my home office. However, assembly was rather tricky with tightening/loosening resistance settings. I attempted to seek assistance from Ergotron when the instructions didn't provide me the intended result, and with writing not an ideal means to explain the challenge I sought a video call. Video calls were not a supported customer assembly assistance capability, so I felt left to my own devices to resolve the challenge - which I eventually solved with a bit of force on the monitor arm joints.
Although a good product, I think the customer support could have boosting the product rating. A quick ZOOM/SKYPE call would have created a better customer experience with Ergotron.
